Bioenergy Atlas of Australia

The online Bioenergy Atlas of Australia is a new and exciting tool to assist in planning an emerging bioenergy industry. It brings together the best available data and information at the time of the study – on existing and potential resources, industry and infrastructure - and presents this using state of the art online GIS technology. The Atlas will provide greater availability and accessibility of information on existing and potential bioenergy resources in Australia. The project was undertaken collaboratively by the University of Adelaide and Bureau of Rural Sciences in conjunction with the Australian Greenhouse Office and the Joint Venture Agroforestry Program.

CASE STUDY REPORT: SRC Case Study

The stated objective of this case study was to identify target regions for the development of a SRC (Short Rotation Coppice) cropping industry. As a typical GIS case study, we also questioned the datasets used and the manner in which they're presented, and use these to guide the final implementation where the case studies go national.
